In 1970, Fotis Georgopoulos, our beloved grandfather, embarked on a journey that would shape our family’s lives for generations to come. Upon hearing about the unspoiled beauty of Kommeno from a close friend, he decided to visit this hidden gem. Captivated by its serene landscape and breathtaking views, he made a bold decision to purchase a plot of land before anyone else had even heard of Kommeno. At that time, there were no roads or infrastructure, just the pure, untamed beauty of nature.
Fotis envisioned a sanctuary for our family amidst this paradise. With unwavering dedication, he built the first house in Kommeno, which marked the start of our family’s love for the area. This house, nestled among olive trees and overlooking the sparkling Ionian Sea, became a cherished retreat for us. It was a place where memories were made, where laughter echoed through the halls, and where the beauty of Kommeno could be savored in its purest form.
A few years later, the landscape of Kommeno began to change. The construction of the luxurious Asteras Hotel marked the beginning of a transformation. The area started attracting the attention of affluent investors, developers, and potential homeowners. Despite the growing interest and development around us, our home remained a constant, a symbol of our deep connection to Kommeno.
For decades, our villa stood unchanged, until one year ago, we decided it was time for a change. We embarked on a comprehensive renovation, modernizing the villa while preserving its timeless charm. After months of meticulous work, the renovation is now completed, and every corner of the villa now gleams with freshness and modern luxury, ready to welcome guests into its luxurious embrace.
We are excited to start this new chapter for our home.
